IA TRAK - Internal Affairs Records Management System
IA Trak is our Internal Affairs records management solution designed specifically for the diverse needs of today's internal affairs and professional standards units. The system provides comprehensive tracking of all your internal affairs cases and complaints while helping you maintain compliance with the requirements of national and state accreditation standards.
IA Trak includes modules for recording internal affairs investigations and complaints as well as use-of-force incidents, pursuits, employee crashes, prisoner injuries and much more. A fully customizable early warning system provides alerts that can be customized to have investigators warned when an employee reaches a minimum threshold, possibly averting potential problems. The system was originally designed based on feedback from instructors and students of Internal Affairs investigations courses held around the world by the Institute of Police Technology and Management.
Comprehensive reporting and charting features have been built into the system to provide proof of compliance with standards established by
the
National Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies as well as most
state law enforcement accreditation standards.
Investigations can be logged and tracked from beginning to end in real time, maintaining a chronological order of all facets of the
investigation time line.
The system comes with over 100 built in reports and full color charts. Powerful searching and data mining features are integrated within every screen to provide a simple, intuitive means of producing easy to read and comprehensive reports. File attachments of virtually any type of media, such as pictures, documents, video and audio files, can be linked to any record. Attachments can be stored on-line with the database or off-line on CD, DVD and other removable media.
